First School Bus Ride

Belle had her first school bus ride, on her first day of school. Ever since she figured out what that big yellow thing was that goes through our neighborhood in the morning she has been waiting in anticipation for the big day when she got to ride the bus. Most kids get their parents to take them the first few days and we Sharon suggested this to Isabelle, but she would not be denied. When she heard the bus was coming this AM she grabbed her lunch and ran out as quick as she could. Luckily there was one other kindergartner whose parents were crazy enough to let their kid ride the bus on the first day, so Belle had someone to share here excitement with on the bus.

Of course, Sharon was more worried about the first day of school than Isabelle was. At least Fiona was around to console her.

Sharon mentioned a dream she had that she woke up at 7:10 AM and Isabelle missed the bus. The bus comes at 7 AM. I think Dr. Freud would say the motherly instinct were hoping that she wouldn't ride the bus, but I'm not a psychologist, I just studied with crazy people in college.

So Sharon didn't follow Isabelle to school but luckily some another Mom did and got us some first day of school pics. Overall Isabelle had a wonderful first day of school and said she made a new best friend. A great beginning.
