At Stana Claus beach of course in Carpenteria. The first afternoon in Cali I went straight to the A-Frame surf show and rented an eight footer and got some tasty waist-high surf for the afternoon. Sat and Sunday are about totally flat (bad Santa) but the forecast looks better as we move south to Encinitas as the southern swells work better as up near Santa Barbara the swells are blocked by the Channel Islands.
